Antoine van Hoof , "Toine" per gli amici, è nato nel 1953 è sposato, ha due figli ed ha lavorato per 24 anni presso la ABN AMRO ritirandosi nel 2003.

 Si è messo in luce vincendo l'oro ai Campionati a Squadre Juniores del MEC nel 1977 ed il bronzo ai Campionati Europei a Squadre Juniores del 1976 e in quelli a Squadre Open del MEC nel 1979.

 Dopo il pensionamento è stato per qualche anno capitano della nazionale olandese ed ha colto i suoi migliori risultati con l'argento Olimpico del 2004, con la vittoria degli Europei a Squadre nel 2005 e con il bronzo al World Transnational Teams del 2003.

 Ha collaborato per anni con il quotidiano De Volksrant.

  Antoine was born in 1953, is married with two children and worked for 24 years at ABN AMRO retiring in 2003.

He was highlighted by winning gold at the MEC Junior Team Championships in 1977 and bronze at the Junior European Team Championships in 1976 and those of the MEC Open Teams in 1979.

After retiring for some years was captain of the Dutch national team and took his best results with the Olympic silver in 2004, when he won the European Team in 2005 and bronze at the World Transnational Teams in 2003.

He has worked for years with the newspaper De Volksrant.
