 Shaohong Wu è nata il 20 gennaio del 1970 ed è una World Women International Master ed una World Master piuttosto nota in campo internazionale.

 Nel suo palmares figura la Hua Yuan Pairs del 2011 e l'argento nella McConnell del 2014 e agli Europei Transnazionali a Squadre del 2015.

 Nel circuito americano ha vinto il Marsha Sterneberg del 2007.
