Nato a Napoli il 25 marzo del 1922, è stato un insigne magistrato ed un rinomato campione di bridge fin quando l'attività legislativa non lo ha allontanato dalle gare.

 Componente del Consiglio Direttivo della Federazione dal 1974 al 1986 ha posto i fondamenti dell'ordinamento giuridico sportivo di cui ancor oggi ci si avvale.

  Vincitori di 4 Campionati Italiani a Squadre (1948, 49, 51, 56) ha fatto più volte parte della Nazionale azzurra conquistando ai Campionati Europei a Squadre l'argento nel 1952 ed il bronzo nel 1953.

 Presidente dell'Associazione Bridge di Napoli è scomparso nella sua città a causa di un cancro alla fine del 1997.
