 Stefano Back è nato a Venezia il 29 ottobre del 1950, ingegnere è un manager di largo successo in aziende pubbliche.

 Sposato con Rossana, anche lei buona bridgista, hanno un figlio.

 Stefano conosce il bridge verso i quaranta quando diventa uno dei Soci fondatori dell'ASD N. Marcon Lido di Venezia che più tardi dirigerà come Presidente.

 Arbitro e insegnate iscritto ai rispettivi Albi è stato Consigliere del Comitato Regionale Veneto e nel 2017 è divenuto Vice Presidente FIGB.
