Walid Elahamadi è nato al Cairo il 26 agosto del 1961 si è laureato in Ingegneria alla locale Università ed è uno dei più noti giocatori egiziani.

 Walid ha conosciuto il bridge da ragazzo ma, vivendo al Cairo dove il bridge non è molto diffuso, è stato costretto ad essere un autodidatta.

 Sposato, Walid è noto soprattutto nel circuito americano dove ha già vinto il Life Master Pairs nel 2003, il Blue Ribbon Pairs nel 2004 la Vanderbilt's nel 2009, il Mitchell nel 2012 e la Reisinger nel 2016.
