Forest Evashevski was born on October 19, 1918 in
Detroit and was a strong American football player, as well as a coach
and administrator in the university sports world. As a coach he was
elected in the Home of Fame of American football.
"Evy" as his friends affectionately called him, married Ruth, with whom he had seven children.
Passionate about bridge, he disappeared in Petoskey on October 30, 2009 due to liver cancer.
