Nato l'8 dicembre del 1954 a Catania dove vive tutt'ora, Giuseppe è ingegnere civile e gioca a bridge da oltre trent'anni.
Per i suoi meriti sportivi ha guadagnato i titoli di World International Master, di World Senior Master e di Italian Grand Master.
Da giocatore ha vinto i Campionati Europei a Squadre Open di Malta nel 1999, è arrivato seconde nella Coppa D'Orsi del 2017 e ha guadagnato anche un paio di bronzi in quelle del MEC (1993 e 1998) per poi vincere la e la vittoria della Champion Cup del 2023.
Sul piano nazionale ha conquistato tre titoli a Coppie Libere (1990, 2001, 2013) e le Coppa Italia 2017, 2018 e 2022.
Ultimamente ha diretto il cantiere che ha edificato a Milano la "Casa del Bridge Italiana" ed è stato nominato Vice Presidente della FIGB.
Ha anche fatto più volte da coach alle Nazionali azzurre, compresa quella che nel 2013 ha conquistato la Bermuda Bowl.

engineer and has been playing bridge for over thirty years.
For his merits sports has earned the titles of World International Master, Senior Master and Italian Grand Master.
As a player he won the European Team Championships Open in Malta in 1999, took the silver medal in Senior Bowl of 2017 and earned a pair of bronze medals in the EEC (1993 and 1998) and the Champion Cuo of 2023.
At the national level has won three titles Open Pairs (1990, 2001, 2013) an three Italy Cup (2017, 2018 e 2022).
Most recently, he directed the shipyard that built in Milan, the "House of the Italian Bridge" and was named Vice President of FIGB.
He also made several times by coach to the national blue, including the one in 2013 won the Bermuda Bowl..
