Martin  FLEISHER

 

  Marty Fleisher è nato il 12 ottobre del 1958 nel Bronx ma la sua famiglia si è trasferì ben presto a Teaneck nel New Jersey.

 Ha studiato alla Teaneck High School, allo Swarthmore College ed alla New York University School of Law. Amministratore Delegato della Dearborn Partners Capital oggi vive a Manhattan con la moglie Andrea Bierstein che è un noto avvocato e che gioca solo occasionalmente.

  Marty ha imparato a giocare quando aveva 8 anni ed è noto nel circuito del bridge americano per essere stato, all'età di 17 anni, il più giovane ACBL Life Master dell'aria di New York ed il più giovane giocatore USA ad aver partecipato ad una finale dei NABC's. Un'altra sua caratteristica è quella di partecipare il bridge agonistico quasi esclusivamente ai NABC.

 Nell'ultimo decennio ha registrato diversi prestigiosi piazzamenti tra i quali ricordiamo la vittoria del Cavendish Pairs del 2000 e tra i NABC vinti quelli nella Vanderbilt Cup del 2011 e 2018, della Spingold nel 2016 e 2023 e del Mitchell del 2018.

 Nel 2013 è stato nominato giocatore dell'anno dalla ACBL ed oggi è l'attuale Presidente in carica della USBF.

Nel 2017 ha coronato la sua carriera con la conquista della Bermuda Bowl e l'approdo tra i World Grand Master.

   Marty Fleisher was born on October 12, 1958 in the Bronx but his family soon moved to Teaneck in New Jersey.

He studied at Teaneck High School, Swarthmore College and the New York University School of Law. Dearborn Partners Capital CEO today lives in Manhattan with his wife Andrea Bierstein who is a well-known lawyer and who only plays occasionally.

Marty learned to play when he was 8 years old and is known in the American bridge circuit for having been, at the age of 17, the youngest ACBL Life Master of the air of New York and the youngest US player to have participated in a final of the NABC's. Another feature is that of participating in the competitive bridge almost exclusively to NABC.

In the last decade he has recorded several prestigious placings among which we remember the victory of the Cavendish Pairs of 2000 and among the NABC won those in the Vanderbilt Cup of 2011 and 2018, of the Spingold of 2016 and 2023 and of the Mitchell of 2018.

In 2013 he was named player of the year by ACBL and today is the current President in charge of USBF.

In 2017 he crowned his career with the conquest of the Bermuda Bowl and the landing place among the World Grand Masters.
