Hans Humburg was born in 1934 and has lived in Essen, becoming one of the best German players in the thirty years at the turn of the last two centuries.
Married to Helga, also a good bridge player, he has won several national titles and has made several times a part of the senior German national team with which he won a bronze medal at the 2004 Olympics and a gold medal at the 2006 European Championships.
In 1998 he also earned a silver at the Market Community Championships.
Senior World Master, in pairs competitions, he won silver at the 1991 and 1997 Transnational Europeans and gold in the 2001 edition.
He disappeared in 2016.
