Larry Kozlove è nato a Louisville il 31 agosto del 1945 dove ha studiato alla Seneca High School.

 Matricola alla Miami University, si è laureato a Louisville ed è partito per il servizio militare obbligatorio passando un anno in Vietnam.

 La sua storia come bridgista è alquanto insolita perché dopo aver imparato il bridge al college ed aver vinto il Wernher Trophy nel 1978 guadagnando la seconda posizione nella Spingold di un anno prima, ha smesso di giocare per un quarto di secolo anche perché non aveva molta voglia di viaggiare e la vita del professionista di bridge non gli sembrava tagliata su misura per lui.

 Ha lavorato per 22 anni alla PNC Bank prima di passare alla Louisville Bank e alla Republic Bank dove ha chiuso la carriera a fine 2007 cominciando a dedicarsi con discreto successo al poker sportivo raggiungendo il 24º posto della classifica del Kentucky.

 Nel 2011 andò a svernare in Florida a Boca Raton con la moglie Ellen Kozlove, che è anche lei un'ottima bridgista, e rivide tanti vecchi amici che lo convinsero a partecipare alle loro partite di bridge. La classe non è acqua e così, nonostante la ruggine, Larry si mise subito in mostra tanto che Gaylor Kasle gli offrì di giocare con lui nella squadra senior che avrebbe portato alle selezione per i Campionati del mondo di Categoria.

 Detto fatto, la selezione fu vinta e ad ottobre dello stesso anno, Larry già vinceva l'argento nella Senior Bowl!

Una volta ripreso il gioco, l'anno successivo, sempre in coppia con Gaylor, ha vinto il Jacoby ed il Baze.

Larry è scomparso il 2 settembre del 2020.

Ellen è nata a Schenectady (NY) il 17 novembre del 1949, ha studiato alla Mount Pleasant H.S. e si è laureata all'Università di Buffalo ed oggi vive a Boca Raton.

Come giocatrice vanta un NABC vinto nel 2013.

Larry Kozlove was born in Louisville August 31, 1945 the town where he studied at Seneca High School. Attended Miami University as a freshman before finishing at U of L. Was then drafted into the army in 1967 and served for the two mandatory years (1 year as a corpsman in DaNang, Vietnam). Somehow became a banker until retirement December 2007.

Its history as a bridge player is somewhat unusual because after having learned bridge in college and winning the Wernher Trophy in 1978, earning second place in the Spingold a year earlier, he stopped playing for a quarter century also because he did not really want to travel and the life of the professional bridge did not seem tailor.

Larry worked for 22 years at PNC Bank before moving to Louisville Bank and Republic Bank, where he ended his career in 2008 starting to devote some success in poker tournaments, reaching the 24th place in the rankings of Kentucky.

In 2011 he went to spend the winter  at Boca Raton in Florida with his wife and saw so many old friends who convinced him to participate in their games of bridge. The class is not water, and so, despite the rust, Larry immediately began to show so much that Gaylor Kasle offered him to play with him in the senior team that would lead to selection for the World Championships category .

They won the selection and in October of the same year, earned a silver medal in the Senior Bowl!

Regained the game, the following year, always in pairs with Gaylor, won the Jacoby and the Baze.

Larry disappeared September 2, 2020.
