Justin Lall was born on September 27, 1986 in Katy, a town 30 km west of Houston in Texas and attended Alamo Heights High School.
He started playing at 10 and the results were certainly not long in coming, as he won about eighty regional titles and accumulated over 9,000 master points and the title of World International Master of the World Bridge Federation.
Son of art, Justin who also speaks Chilean, lived in Plano, a city just north of Dallas and when he became Grand Life Master of the ACBL he was the youngest ever to win the coveted title.
Atheist, he lived with his beloved girlfriend Stefanie Scott (also a good bridge player) and with his son Aiden.
On the international level he has won the Junior World Team Championships for two consecutive years (2005 and 2006). Still in the same category he took bronze in the Transnational Juniores Team at the Istanbul World Championships in 2009, while in the Open one he won silver in the Bermuda Bowl in 2011.
In 2012 he was part of the USA team that won the Buffett Cup and in 2014
he earned bronze in the Open Pairs at the Games of the Mind.
Justin, who won 4 NABCs, often played alongside his father Hernant with
whom he won the 2006 GNT and was also an excellent sportive poker player.
An incurable liver disease took him away prematurely on August 19, 2020.
