Amir was born on July 11, 1973 in Tel Aviv where he still lives.
He studied at the Rishonim High School in Herzliya and at Tel Aviv University before joining KPMG Somekh Chaikin, a member of the KPMG multinational.
His best international achievements took them from Junior with bronze to European Teams in 1998 after winning the Market Common Championships in 1993 and earned the silver at the 1996 Pairs.
He also led the Israeli youth national at silver in the 2004 World Cup.
European Master, in 2002 won silver in the Champion Cup and in 2018 in European Open Teams.
