Cédric Lorenzini è nato il 23 luglio del 1989 a Mulhouse una città presso il confine con la Svizzera ed ha studiato al Liceo di Zillisheim per poi diplomarsi in chimica industriale alla scuola superiore della sua città e a seguire ha presso un dottorato in chimica.
Cédric che è sposato con Aurélie Thizy dal 2017, ha vissuto a Zillisheim nei pressi di Mulhouse ed oggi vive a Cachan nell'hinterland parigino con la moglie che gli ha dato due bimbi.
Dopo essere stato una delle più interessanti promesse del bridge d'oltralpe oggi è uno dei migliori giocatori del suo Paese.
Ha iniziato a giocare a bridge quando aveva 8 anni sotto la guida del nonno che lo portava a giocare in un club della sua città.
Ha 14 anni è stato cooptato nello School Team della Nazionale francese ed ha iniziato a mietere i suoi primi allori. Nel 2007 ha vinto il bronzo nei Campionati Europei Studenteschi a Squadre e nel 2008 l'oro in quelli Mondiali.
Nel 2009 ha vinto i Campionati Europei a Squadre Juniores e nel 2010 ha guadagnato l'argento in quelli Mondiali.
In ambito universitario, nel 2009 ha vinto il bronzo ai Campionati Europei a Coppie e l'argento in quelli a Squadre, nel 2010 l'argento nei Mondiali a Squadre.
Nel 2011 è arrivato secondo agli Open Trials Nazionali e spera che prima o poi parteciperà ai Campionati Europei Open con la nazionale del suo Paese. Nel frattempo ha vinto l'oro a quelli Giovanili a Squadre nel 2013 ed il bronzo nei World Bridge Series Open Pairs del 2014.
Nel 2015 è stato il primo giocatore non statunitense ad essere nominato "Player of the Year" ed anche il più giovane di tutti i tempi.
Nel 2016 ha vinto i Campionati Europei a Squadre Open, nel 2017 è arrivato secondo nella Bermuda Bowl e primo negli Elite Mind Games, nel 2019 ha vinto il Cavendish Teams ed il memorial Jean-Paul Meyer I agli Europei Open.
Nel 2020 ha confessato spontaneamente alcuni suoi comportamenti illeciti durante il bridge on line chiedendo scusa a tutta la comunità bridgistica.
Nel 2023 si è rifatto il look vincendo gli Europei Transnazionali a Squadre Miste e a Squadre Open nonché la Spingold.
Oggi è un World Life Master.
Cédric Lorenzini was born on 23 July 1989 in Mulhouse a city
near the Swiss border and studied at the Zillisheim Lyceum and then graduated in
industrial chemistry at the high school of his city and later on with a
doctorate in chemistry.
Cédric who has been married to Aurélie Thizy since 2017, lived in Zillisheim near Mulhouse and now lives in Cachan in the Paris hinterland with his wife who gave him two children.
He started playing bridge when he was 8 years old under the guidance of his grandfather who took him to play in a club in his city.
He is 14 years old and has been co-opted into the French National School Team and has begun to reap his first laurels. In 2007 he won bronze in the European Student Team Championships and in 2008 gold in the World Championships.
In 2009 he won the European Junior Team Championships and in 2010 he earned silver in the World Championships.
In the university field, in 2009 he won bronze at the European Championships in pairs and silver in those in teams, in 2010 silver in the World Team Championships.
In 2011 he finished second in the National Open Trials and hopes that sooner or later he will participate in the European Open Championships with his country's national team. In the meantime, he won gold in the 2013 Youth Teams and bronze in the 2014 World Bridge Series Open Pairs.
In 2015 he was the first non-US player to be named "Player of the Year" and also the youngest of all time.
In 2016 he won the European Open Team Championships, in 2017 he finished second in the Bermuda Bowl and first in the Elite Mind Games and in 2019 he won the Cavendish Teams and the Jean-Paul Meyer I memorial at the European Open.
In 2020 he spontaneously confessed some of his illicit behaviors during online bridge, apologizing to the entire bridge community.
In 2023 he redid his look by winning at Transnational European the Mixed and the Open Championships and to NABC the Spingold.
Today he is a World Life Master.
