Nato nel 1944 a Jakobsberg poco a nord di Jarfalla, una località che si trova 20 Km. a nord ovest di Stoccolma è un SAP services manager che si è sempre rifiutato di prendere la patente di guida.
Anders, che oggi vive a Lund poco distante da Malmö, è un World Life Master che ha rappresentato il suo Paese in numerose competizioni internazionali.
La sua prima vittoria di prestigio sul piano internazionale è il Campionato Europeo per Squadre Juniores a squadre del 1968, ad essa è seguita la vittoria negli Europei a Squadre del 1977, la medaglia d'argento conquistata in quelli del 1991 e due terzi posti nelle Bermuda Bowl del 1977 e del 1991.
Nel 1988 arriva secondo nella Philip Morris Europe Cup, l'antesignana della moderna Champions Cup e nel 2000 quando la stessa piazza nel Torneo dimostrativo organizzato per l'affiliazione del Bridge nell'European Olympic Committee. Nel 2015 ha conquistato l'argento agli Europei a Coppie.
Passato nella Categoria Seniores ha vinto il bronzo nella Senior Bowl del 2000 e del 2017 e l'argento nei Campionati Europei a Squadre del 2008, del 2014 e del 2016 e nella Senior Bowl del 2015.
Anche vincitore di una decina di titoli nazionali, Anders è molto noto nel mondo del bridge internazionale per essere coautore con Sven Ake Bjarregaard e Sven Olof Flodqvist del noto sistema dichiarativo Carrot Club (Morotsklovern) ideato nel 1972 e a lungo giocato dai nazionali svedesi.
Al Carrot, Anders ha fatto seguire una nuova versione del sistema chiamata "Svan" che contempla il passaggio alla quinta nobile.

debut for Sweden as early as 1968 when he won the first European Junior Team
Championship played in Prague one week before the Russian invasion.
Since then he has played for Sweden numerous times winning a gold medal in Elsinore – 77 and a silver medal in Killarney - 91. Besides, he won two bronze medals in the Bermuda Bowl in 77 and 91.
In 1988 finished second in the Philip Morris European Cup, the forerunner of the modern Champions Cup and in 2000 earned the same square in the tournament organized demonstration for membership of the Bridge in the European Olympic Committee. In 2015 he won the silver medal in the European Open Pairs Championships.
Passed in the Senior category won bronze in the Senior Bowl in 2000 and 2017, silver in the European Teams Championships in 2008, 2014 and 2016 and in the Senior Bowl 2015.
Anders works as a system designer both in his regular work and in bridge where he is one of the most inventive Swedes there are.
He co-invented both the Carrot Club and the nowadays so popular Swedish two-way club.
