Sven Olof ha cominciato a giocare a bridge al liceo sotto la guida di Eric Jannersten e lo ha poi approfondito durante l'Università.
"Tjolpe", come viene chiamato Sven nel suo Paese, ha fatto parte molte volte della rappresentativa nazionale nella quale ha esordito ai Campionato Europei a Squadre di Atene del 1971 per poi vincerli due volte: nel 1977 a Elsinore e 10 anni più tardi a Brighton.
È l'ideatore del "Fiori Carota" un sistema molto diffuso in tutto il Nord Europa che ha cominciato a sviluppare agli inizi degli anni '70.
World Life Master, ha vinto la Medaglia di Bronzo al Campionato del Mondo a Squadre nel 1987 e alle Olimpiadi del 1988 ed arrivato secondo nella Champion Cup del 1988.
Passato tra i seniores ha vinto due volte la medaglia d'argento del Campionato Europeo a Squadre nel 2006 e nel 2008 ed ha poi vinto gli Europei Open nel 2013.
Nel 1977 ha cominciato a scrivere per diverse riviste specializzate e ha tenuto una rubrica fissa sul Daily News per diversi anni, inoltre, ha iniziato a collaborare assiduamente a Bridgetidningen di cui è divenuto editore nel 1989.
Pyttsi, sua moglie, è una World International Master che gli ha dato tre figli e che ha vinto gli Europei del 1993 ed ha preso il bronzo nella Venice Cup dello stesso anno con la Squadra femminile svedese, nonché l'argento nell'Individuale Mondiale Femminile del 1994.
Pyttsi oggi è un insegnate professionista che opera in un albergo fattoria con annesso campo di golf che si trova poco a nord di Ystad, circa 60 KM. a Est di Malmö.

Sven began playing bridge in high school under the guidance of Eric Jannesrsten and then he improved himself at the university.
"Tjolpe" as it is called Sven in his country, has been part of the national team many times. his debut there been in the European Team Championships in Athens in 1971 followed by win twice: in 1977 in Elsinore, and 10 years later, in Brighton.
He is the creator
of "Carrot Flowers" a very widespread throughout northern Europe, a system that
he has begun to develop in the early '70s.

Passed among seniors has twice won the silver medal at the European Team Championships in 2006 and 2008 and the gold medal in European Open in 2013.

Pyttsi, his wife, is a World International Master who gave him three children and has won the Europeans in 1993 and took a bronze medal in the Venice Cup the same year with the Swedish women's team, and a silver medal in the individual and the Women's World 1994.
Today Pyttsi is a bridge teacher who works in a hotel-farm with a golf course which lies just north of Ystad and about 60 Km east of Malmö.
