She played often with the late Washington Post Publisher Katharine Graham and now is a regular partner of Microsoft's Bill Gates and America's best-known investor Warren Buffett.
Osberg, was born in 1949, grew up in New Jersey and received her bachelor's degree from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania.
She began her career as a computer programmer, moving into systems management and then on to general management.

"Dragged into the game by a college friend," Osberg began playing bridge at 18 and has gone on to win two world championships.
Her first international success came in 1991 when she teamed with Sue Picus won the Venice Cup of Yokohama defeating the Austrian women's representative; with the same partner, but with a totally different American team, she was heard to repeat two years later in Santiago, Chile defeating the very strong German team.
