 Desislava Borissova Popova è nata il 7 febbraio del 1973 a Sofia e ha studiato matematica presso la NPMG per poi laurearsi presso l'Università di Sofia.

 La sua carriera bridgistica è esplosa negli ultimi anni con la conquista dell'oro e dell'argento ai Campionati Europei a Coppie Miste (2007 e 2009) e di due medaglie in quello a Squadre Miste (bronzo nel 2002 e oro nel 2009), nonché l'argento nella White House (2008).

 Nel 2013 si conferma al vertice della Categoria del misto vincendo gli Europei Open a Coppie.

 Questi risultati assieme a diversi altri piazzamenti gli hanno valso il titolo di World Women Master.

  Desislava Popova was born in 1973 in Sofia and studied mathematics at the NPMG and graduated from the University of Sofia.

 Her career bridge players has exploded in recent years by winning silver medal  in the European Championship in Mixed Pairs (2009) and two medals in the Mixed Team (bronze in 2002 and gold in 2009), as well as silver in the White House (2008).

 In 2013, remaining at the top of the category of mixed winning the European Open in Mixed Pairs.

These results along with several other placing have earned her the title of World Women Master.
