 Melvyn Rockfelt (1903 - 1976) è stato a cavallo della metà dello scorso secolo uno dei migliori giocatori britannici.

 Sposato con Ruth ha avuto un figlio: John.

 Medico, per il suo carattere schivo rinunciò alla nazionale ma vinse un gran numero di Tornei e Campionati nazionali tra i quali ricordiamo due volte la Gold Cup (1962 e 1970), 7 volte la Tollemache, 2 volte il Crockfords, una volta lo Spring Foursomes e l'Hubert Phillips.

 Inoltre, due volte ha vinto i Campionati britannici a coppie libere (1959 e 1962).
