Bart  BRAMLEY

 Bart Bramley è nato il 6 gennaio del 1948 a Poughkeepsie una città fluviale sull'Hudson situata nel sud dello stato di New York,  Bart Bramley si è diplomato al Choate Rosemary Hall di Wallingford nel Connecticut dove è cresciuto e si è laureato in matematica al MIT di Boston.

 Ha imparato il bridge da bambino osservando i suoi genitori  e poi ha cominciato a giocarlo seriamente durante gli anni del college.

 Dopo aver vissuto in Boston, Seattle e Chicago, ha vissuto a Dallas con la moglie Judy Wadas, anch'essa una valente bridgista del 1937 che ha vinto due volte il Machlin Women's Swiss Teams (1997 e 2000) e il Wagar del 1996 e che è scomparsa il 2 maggio del 2022.

 È stato agente di borsa ed ha lavorato per la SCA promotion.

Oggi è tornato nella sua vecchia casa di Avon nel Connecticut dove vive con la sua nuova compagna, la campionessa Kitty Cooper.

 Articolista per diverse riviste specializzate tra le quali la famosa The Bridge World è un World International Master ed un Senior Life Master che ha vinto 11 titoli nazionali tra i quali ricordiamo: la Reisinger del 1997, la Vanderbilt del 1989, il Mitchell del 1980, 3 Jacoby nel 1980, 1990 e 1997 e il Silodor del 1984.

 Bart, che è stato nominato dalla ACBL giocatore dell'anno 1997 e che ha guidato la Nazionale USA femminile alle Olimpiadi del 1996, come giocatore ha vinto sul piano internazionale: l'argento nei Mondiali Transnazionali a Squadre del 2005,  il bronzo nella Rosenblum del 1998 e l'oro nella Senior Bowl del 2007. Inoltre è arrivato secondo al Par Contest del 1998.

Nel 2019 è stato cooptato nella Hall of Fame.

Born on January 6, 1948 in Poughkeepsie, a river town on the Hudson located in southern New York state, Bart Bramley graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut where he grew up and earned a degree in mathematics from MIT in Boston.

He learned bridge as a child by watching his parents and then began playing it seriously during his college years.
After living in Boston, Seattle and Chicago, he lived in Dallas with his wife Judy Wadas, also a talented 1937 bridge player who won the Machlin Women's Swiss Teams twice (1997 and 2000) and the 1996 Wagar and who she passed away on May 2, 2022.

He was a stockbroker and worked for SCA promotion.

Today he returned to his old home in Avon (Connecticut) where he lives with his new partner, the champion Kitty Cooper.

Columnist for various specialized magazines including the famous The Bridge World, he is a World International Master and a Senior Life Master who has won 11 national titles among which we remember: the Reisinger of 1997, the Vanderbilt of 1989, the Mitchell of 1980, 3 Jacoby in 1980, 1990 and 1997 and the Silodor in 1984.

Bart, who was named player of the year by the ACBL in 1997 and who led the US women's national team at the 1996 Olympics, has won internationally as a player: silver in the 2005 Transnational Team World Championships, bronze in the Rosenblum 1998 and gold in the 2007 Senior Bowl. He also finished second in the 1998 Par Contest.

In 2019 he was co-opted into the Hall of Fame.
