David  BURN

 

 Nato nel 1956 a Bulawayo nell'Ovest dello Zimbabwe, David ha studiato al Dulwich College and Caius di Cambridge ed è un consulente informatico.

 Divorziato, senza figli, vive a Londra ed ha rappresentato più volte la nazionale britannica.

 Si è messo in luce vincendo la medaglia di bronzo ai Campionati Giovanili a Coppie del MEC nel 1981  e quella d'oro ai Campionati Giovanili a Squadre del MEC nel 1989 ad Ostenda.

 Ha vinto l'argento nel Mondiale Master a Coppie del 2002 a Montreal.

 Nel suo palmares figurano anche i titoli conseguiti come allenatore delle Nazionali britanniche. Oro ai Campionati Europei a Squadre Open del 1991, argento nella Bermuda Bowl del 1987 ed ancora oro nel 2012 ai Campionati Europei Femminili.

 É anche stato il coach della formidabile squadra inglese che ha vinto le Olimpiadi femminili nel 2012, l'argento  nel 2013 ed il bronzo nel 2019 e nel 2022 nella Venice Cup, l'argento nei  Campionati Europei a Squadre Femminili  del 2014 più l'oro in quelli del 2016.

Altri hobbies di David sono la musica classica, la lettura ed il teatro.

David was born in 1956 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe; educated Dulwich College and Caius, Cambridge; IT consultant.

He has played for England in 7 Camrose matches, 1 European and 1 Olympiad.

Coached Britain to Bermuda Bowl silver medal (1987) and gold medal in 1991  European Open Teams Championships and 2012 European Women's Teams Championships.

In 2012 he ahs been the coach of formidable English women team that won the Olympiads and in 2013 he has been the same role in the silver medal won in the 2014 and the bronze medal in 2019 and in 2022 in the Venice Cup, the silver in  European Women Teams, followed by the gold in 2016 European Women Teams.

Divorced, no children, no pets; living in London.

Ha has other interests in  reading, classical music, theatre, beer and curry.
