 Nato a Salerno il 25 febbraio del 1974, Mario d'Avossa č un avvocato ed č stato uno dei migliori juniores azzurri ed č oggi un World International Master che vive a Milano con la moglie Myrta Zucco, anche lei ottima bridgista.

 Figlio d'arte, i genitori sono Edoardo e Mietta coppia mista ben nota nell'ambiente lombardo.

 Il papā č stato un noto giudice per molti anni presidente del Tribunale di Busto Arsizio.

 Mario nella categoria juniores ha vinto nel '96 un argento nello Squadre MEC e nel '98 un oro nel Coppie MEC.

 Con la nazionale giovanile nel '98 conquista il titolo continentale a Squadre a Vienna e nel '99 quello Mondiale in Florida. Con la Nazionale Universitaria conquista due argenti europei consecutivi nel 1997 e nel 1999.

 In ambito italiano, sempre nella categoria junior, arriva terzo nel '97 nel Coppie e secondo nel '98 nello Squadre.

 Nel '99 un argento nel Coppie Miste. Nel 2000, 2001, 2008 e 2009 quattro secondi posti in Coppa Italia. Sempre nel 2000 l'argento nel Mondiale Universitario a Squadre.

 Nel 2002 un altro secondo posto con Catania nel campionato a Squadre Open. Nel 2003 conquista a Montecarlo l'oro con il Team Lavazza nello Squadre del Transnational.

 L'anno successivo, 2004, sempre con la formazione torinese, un primo posto nel Campionato Italiano a Squadre e nel Campionato per Societā Sportive, mentre, con San Siro Club Milano, un oro nella Coppa Italia Mista (2004).

 Tra gli altri successi i titoli nazionali nello Squadre Open del 2011 e 2016,  le Coppa Italia del 2011 e del 2022, e l'argento nel Campionato Europeo a Squadre Open del 2013.

Born in Salerno in 1974, Mario D'Avossa is a World International Master.

One of the best junior Italians in this category won a silver medal in the '96 Teams EC and a gold medal in '98 Pairs EC.

With the Youth National in '98 won the continental title in the Teams in Vienna and in the '99 the World Title in Florida. With the National University won two consecutive European silver in 1997 and 1999.

In the Italian context, always in the junior category, finished third in '97 Pairs and second in '98 Teams.

In '99 a silver in the Mixed Pairs. In 2000, 2001, 2008 and 2009, four second places in the Italy Cup. Always in the 2000 he won the silver medal in World University Teams Championships.

In 2002 another second place with Catania in the Open Teams Championships. In 2003 in Monte Carlo wins gold with Team Lavazza in the  Transnational's Open Teams.

In 2004 is Italian Open Teams Champion and won the Italy Mixed Cup.

Among other successful we remember the Italian Open Teams in 2011 and 2016, the Italy Men Cup in 2011 and 2022 and the silver medal in 2013 European Open Teams.
