Maarten Schollaardt è una delle più affermate new entry del bridge olandese, nato ad Amsterdam il 27 ottobre del 1977 dove vive tuttora, può ormai essere considerato un giocatore semi professionista.
Sposato con due figli è il più alto giocatore della squadra dei tulipani e si è messo in evidenza con l'argento conquistato agli Europei Juniores del 2000 e con il bronzo del 2002 nella University Cup.
Nel 2003 coglie la sua più prestigiosa affermazione conquistando il bronzo nella Champion Cup di Roma.
Questi successi gli hanno valso il titolo di World International Master ed uno dei primi 20 posti nella classifica edita dalla World Bridge Federation.
Maarten ha legato un sodalizio con Meike Wortel con la quale partecipa a tutti i Tornei Open vincendo entrambi i titoli nazionali nel Coppie e nello Squadre Miste.
Ultimamente ha iniziato ad allenare i giovanissimi olandesi portandoli al bronzo negli Europei a Squadre del 2013 e alla vittoria nel 2015.

His former regular partner since 2006 Bass Tracker plays Sjoert Brink, who in partnership with Ricco Proost discontinued.
In 2007-2008 Schollaardt plays in the Master Class for BC Modalfa fours competition.
In 2007 during the Champions Cup in Poland were Schollaardt and the famous Italian Lorenzo Lauria, the only two who were to play a special safety club contract to June 1st. Schollaardt was thus chosen as the winner of the IBM Bridge Hand-of-the-Year season 2007-2008.
Schollaardt trains every Friday at the NBB in Utrecht.
He is a member of BC The loft in Amsterdam.
Schollaardt sometimes play bridge on the Internet at Bridge Base Online (BBO), his name is there Skollie.
He is the brother of radio DJ Anne Schollaardt.
Recently he has started coaching the young Dutch bringing them to the bronze in the European Team of 2013 and at the victory in 2015.
