Andrée Sussel è nata nel 1914 e negli anni '50 e '60 è stata una delle migliori giocatrici francesi.
Ha vinto sei medaglie ai Campionati Europei a Squadre, 3 ori (1956, 1965 e 1969), due argenti (1962 e 1966) ed un bronzo (1959) ed altre medaglie ha conquistato ai Campionati del MEC: 2 ori ed un argento nel Coppie Femminile (1967, 1971 e 1969), 2 ori nello Squadre Signore (1969 e 1975).
Passata nella Categoria Seniores si è limitata a competere su scala nazionale giocando spesso le Competizioni di Misto con il campione Léon Tintner.
Andrée si è spenta nel 2000 a Cannes dopo una lunga malattia.
Suo figlio Patrick ha seguito le orme materne ed è stato un valente bridgista che oltre a diversi titoli nazionali ha vinto alcune medaglie nei Campionati Europei sia nella Categoria Open (argento nel 1989) che, più tardi, in quella Seniores (argento nel Transnazionale a Coppie del 2003). Un'altro argento lo ha conquistato al Transnazionale Mondiale del 2001, mentre, ha vinto l'oro ai Campionati del MEC del 1973 e al Patton di Biarritz del 1986.
Patrick si è spento il 12 dicembre del 2012.
Andrée Sussel was born in 1914 and in the '50s and '60s was one of the best French players.
She won six medals at the European Championships for Teams, 3 gold medals (1956, 1965 and 1969), two silvers (1962 and 1966) and bronze (1959) and some other medals won MEC Championships: 2 gold and a silver in pairs Women (1967, 1971 and 1969), 2 gold in the Ladies Teams (1969 and 1975).
Passed in the senior category was limited to compete at national competitions playing often mixed with the sample Leon Tintner.
She died at Cannes in 2000 after a long illness.
Her son Patrick has followed in the footsteps nursery and was a skilled bridge player that in addition to several national titles won some medals in the European Championships in both the Open Category (silver in 1989) and, later, in the Senior (silver in Transnational Couples of 2003). Another silver won him over to the Transnational World in 2001, while he won gold at the 1973 EC Championships and Patton Biarritz in 1986. He died on December 12, 2012.
