Andrzej Wilkosz è nato a Sosnowiec il 14 agosto 1935 ed è stato uno scienziato dell'Accademia Steel & Mining di Cracovia che si è potuto fregiare della prestigiosa Croce d'Oro al valore per il settore metallurgico.

 Nel mondo del bridge Andrzej è stato un World Life Master ed un Senior Master che ha formato per lungo tempo con Lukasz Lebioda una delle più forti coppie polacche e che è ben noto per aver ideato una particolare Apertura Multicolor.

 Nel suo palmares figurano insieme a numerosi titoli nazionali la medaglia d'argento agli Europei a Squadre di Estoril nel 1970, la Rosenblum Cup del 1978, l'argento negli Europei a Squadre Seniores del 1995 e 1997 e nei Mondiali Senior Team di Lille del 1998.

 Durante la Bermuda Bowl del 2000 ha vinto con la Squadra Senior Polacca  l'oro nell'esibizione riservata ai giocatori di Categoria, medaglia che bissò durante gli Europei a Squadre Seniores del 2001. Nello stesso anno vinse anche l'argento nella Senior Bowl di Parigi.

 Andrzey è scomparso il 29 dicembre del 2013 a Mielec.

Andrzej Wilkosz was born in 1935 in Sosnowiec and he is a retired scientist and a WBF World Life Master.

He was versatile and many-talented. Engineer and researcher at Krakow's University of Science and Technology, for his studies not only did he receive many departmental awards, but also he was awarded by the State the prestigious Gold Cross of Honour, in the metallurgy field.

He won the 1978 Rosenblum in New Orleans, one silver and two bronze medals in Europeans, the 1971 Sunday Times Invitation, silver medal at the Senior World Team Championship in Lille and two silver medals in European Senior Team Championships (Vilamoura & Montecatini).

He died in Mielec 2013, 29 December.
