Le personalità del bridge

Hazel Wolpert è nata il 26 marzo del 1949 a Pretoria. Prima di trasferirsi in Canada nel 1977, ha vissuto a Johannesburg dove ha lavorato come insegnante.

Da quando è arrivata in Canada ha lasciato la professione e si è dedicata all'insegnamento e alla pratica del Bridge, acquisendo e rilanciando uno dei più famosi club del nord America che oggi porta il suo nome.

Vedova di Myer scomparso nel 2011 e anche lui ottimo giocatore, ha avuto due figli d'arte: Gavin e Darren.

Hazel, che una World Women Master che ha vinto alcuni titoli canadesi, giocando in coppia con il figlio Darren ha vinto l'argento nel World Transnational Mixed Teams del 2012 e ha fatto anche parte della nazionale femminile canadese.

Nel 2013 ha capitanato la Nazionale canadese che ha partecipato alla Bermuda Bowl nella quale militava il figlio Darren.

Hazel Wolpert was born in Pretoria on 1949, 26 March. Before moving to Canada in 1977, she lived in Johannesburg where he worked as a teacher.

Since arriving in Canada has left the profession and is dedicated herself to the teaching and practice of the Bridge, acquiring and reviving one of the most famous clubs in North America that now bears her name.

Today she lives in Vancouver.

Widow of Myer, disappeared in 2011 and good bridge player, she had two sons Gavin and Darren followed the family tradition.

Hazel, a World Women Master, playing in tandem with the son Darren won silver in the World Transnational Mixed Teams in 2012 and she has been part of the Canadian Women's National.

Hazel has been Non-Playing Captain of Canada’s Open Team for the Bermuda Bowl in Bali - Darren has been part of that team.
