Darren č nato a Johannesburg nel 1975 ma vive praticamente da sempre a Thornhill non lontano da Toronto, dove la sua famiglia si č trasferita quando lui aveva solo due anni e dove lavora come broker azionario.
Wolpert che č un World International Master, č figlio d'arte, la mamma č la famosa giocatrice e insegnante canadese Hazel, mentre, il papā Myer, scomparso nel 2011, era anche lui un noto giocatore.
Nel circuito open il suo primo risultato di spicco č costituito dalla piazza d'onore nella NEC Cup del 2002, traguardo conquistato in coppia con Jurek Czyzowicz.
Nel 2012 ha vinto la Vanderbilt ed č arrivato secondo nel Transazionale Misto alle Olimpiadi giocando in coppia con la madre Hazel Wolpert.
Suo fratello Gavin e sua cognata Jenny sono anche loro assai noti bridgisti americani.

working as a
stock
broker.
Wolpert who is the son of the famous Canadian teacher Hazel and his first result is the place of honor in the NEC Cup in 2002, a goal achieved in tandem with his regular partner Jurek Czyzowicz.
In 2012 he won the Vanderbilt Cup and took the second position in the Transnational Mixed Teams.
His brother Gavin and his sister in law Jenny, also are famous bridge player in America. Jenny won the Buffett Cup in 2012.
