Le personalità del bridge

Gavin Wolpert è nato l'8 settembre del 1982 a Thornhill in Canada dove è cresciuto e ha studiato presso la Scuola Secondaria Thornlea e ha anche fatto un paio di anni di Università.

Gavin viene da una famiglia di appassionati bridgisti, la nonna, lo zio e la zia, nonché, la mamma Hazel, hanno inculcato a lui e al fratello maggiore la passione per il gioco quando erano ancora ragazzi.

Gavin, oggi vive in Florida a Palm Beach Gardens con la moglie Jenny Ryman e con i loro tre figlioletti. Anche Jenny proviene da una famiglia di bridgisti ed è una fortissima campionessa americana.

Gavin è un insegnante e un giocatore di bridge professionista. World Life Master e ACBL Grand Life Master, si è messo in luce con il bronzo conquistato nel Mondiale Juniores a Squadre di Sydney nel 2005 anno in cui ha vinto il Blue Ribbon Pairs in coppia con l'allora fidanzata Jenny Ryman.

Ha collezionato alcune vittorie e piazzamenti nei campionati americani e canadesi tra i quali ricordiamo il primo posto nel Silodor del 2011 ed il bronzo nella Bermuda Bowl del 2015 e nella Rosenblum del 2018.

Gavin è anche uno degli artefici della bridge community "www.bridgewinners.com", uno dei siti più popolari negli States.

Gavin is a teacher and a professional bridge player. World Life Master and ACBL Grand Life Master, he was highlighted with the bronze medal won in the World Junior's Teams in Sydney in 2005, the year in which he won the Blue Ribbon Pairs in tandem with then-girlfriend Jenny Ryman.

In 2015 come the bronze medal in Bermuda Bowl and in 2018 some metal in the Rosemblum..

Finally, Gavin is also one of the curators of the bridge community "www.bridgewinners.com" rather famous in the States.
