Henky Lasut "pi" è nato il 6 agosto del 1947 a Manado una città dell'isola di Sulawesi nell'estremo Nord Est dell'Indonesia, dove vive lavorando come dirigente governativo e coltivando le sue due grandi passioni: il bridge e il badminton.
Sposato con due figli Fabian e Levita, entrambi giocatori di bridge, Fabian il maggiore dei due è già, purtroppo precocemente scomparso.
Henky ha imparato il bridge a vent'anni e il suo partner preferito è stato il concittadino e collega Eddy Manoppo.
Eddy che è stato tra i primi 10 World Life Master e che è stato anche un Senior Grand Master, si è fregiato più volte del titolo di campione del Far East e che ha riportato lusinghieri piazzamenti in diversi tornei internazionali tra i quali ricordiamo la medaglia d'oro nelle Olimpiadi Invernali di Losanna del 2000 e nella NEC Cup del 1997 a Yokohama, quelle d'argento nella Rosenblum Cup del 2002 a Montreal e nelle Olimpiadi di Rodi del 1996.
Passato nella categoria Senior, Lasut ha conquistato l'argento nei Mondiali di Estoril del 2005 e a quelli di Shanghai 2007 e l'oro ai World Bridge Pairs Series del 2014.
Henky ci ha lasciato il 12 giugno del 2020 a Manado.

Married with two sons Fabian and Levita, both bridge players, Fabian the elder of the two has already, unfortunately, died prematurely.
Henky learned bridge at the age of twenty and his favorite partner was fellow citizen and colleague Eddy Manoppo.
Eddy who was among the top 10 World Life Masters and who was also a Senior Grand Master, has repeatedly won the title of Far East champion and who has reported flattering placings in various international tournaments among which we remember the medal of gold in the 2000 Lausanne Winter Olympics and in the 1997 NEC Cup in Yokohama, silver in the 2002 Rosenblum Cup in Montreal and in the 1996 Rhodes Olympics.
Passed to the Senior category, Lasut won silver in the Estoril World Championships in 2005 and in Shanghai 2007 and gold in the World Bridge Pairs Series in 2014.
Henky left us on June 12, 2020 in Manado.
