Agustin, argentino ma di origini italiane (il nonno era di Cuneo), astro del bridge mondiale, oggi vive in Italia con la moglie Barbara la figlia Juana, e altri due figli non suoi Sofi and Tomy.
Nato il 2 agosto del 1986 ad Almagro, una cittadina una quarantina di chilometri ad Ovest di Buenos Aires, studente modello delle scuole superiori, Agustin eccelleva in matematica e nelle lingue e non si limitava certo a praticare il bridge nella squadra della scuola, perché era un abile calciatore che poteva fare fino a cento palleggi consecutivi e sapeva suonare l'organo elettronico, il flauto e la chitarra.
Il suo talento per gli sport della mente inizia precocemente quando a 5 anni impara a giocare a scacchi, poi due anni più tardi il suo papà Adolfo, un istruttore e giocatore di Bridge, ha iniziato a insegnarli il gioco così che all'età di 9 anni hanno esordito in coppia in un torneo locale arrivando sesti.
Una volta sua madre chiese al professore di matematica di Agustin come mai non vedeva mai il figlio fare i compiti a casa, la risposta del docente fu: perché mentre scrivo alla lavagna i compiti per casa, Agustin li ha già fatti!

Agustin giocava a bridge solo due o tre volte la settimana, eppure a 13 anni aveva già vinto diversi titoli nazionali. Finito sotto i riflettori del bridge internazionale per la incredibile prestazione che lo ha portato a soli 12 anni ad arrivare secondo ai Campionati a Coppie Open Sud Americani giocando con il veterano argentino Carlos Cabanne, Agustin ha stabilito con Carlos un record che difficilmente potrà essere superato, quello del differenziale di età nella coppia: 70 anni!
A 14 anni, viene chiamato a sostituire Carlos Pellegrini un'altra grande promessa del bridge argentino che non può partecipare per motivi personali alla Bermuda Bowl di Parigi, e classificandosi 15º stabilisce il primato del più giovane giocatore che abbia mai partecipato ad un Campionato Mondiale a Squadre.
L'anno dopo vince i zonali sud americani conquistando il suo primo 1/2 Placing Point che raddoppia nel 2005 vincendo nuovamente la stessa competizione.
Nel 2004 ad Istanbul giocava la sua prima Olimpiade classificandosi 19º e nel 2005 nella Bermuda Bowl di Estoril contribuiva al 6º posto finale dell'Argentina.
Le incredibili performance di Agustin, che gli hanno valso il titolo di World Grand Master, non sono sfuggite all'occhio vigile dei due sponsor italiani di maggior prestigio e così, Maria Teresa Lavazza lo ha chiamato in Italia e lo ha inserito nel suo entourage con risultati che non si son fatti certi aspettare, perché Agustin ha già vinto il prestigioso White House International di Amsterdam nel 2006, il Biarritz a Coppie Open del 2007 e del 2010 ed il Patton del 2010, la NEC Cup del 2010 e il Campionato Europeo a Squadre Open del 2010, diventando il più giovane giocatore che abbia mai vinto un Campionato Europeo (l'illustre predecessore era il grande Pietro Forquet che lo aveva vinto a 26 anni).
Nel 2011 rinforza la nazionale azzurra juniores e vince la medaglia d'argento nei Campionati Europei di categoria poi passato in quella maggiore si toglie la soddisfazione di vincere la Champion Cup nel 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 e 2015, di guadagnare il bronzo nel 2011 nella Bermuda Bowl e nel 2012 negli Europei Open a Squadre.
Infine, nel 2013 arriva la conquista trionfale della sua prima Bermuda Bowl, seguita nel 2014, 2015 e 2019 dalla Coppa Italia e nel 2015 e 2016 la prestigiosa Vanderbilt , nel 2018 e 2019 il Campionato Italiano a Squadre Open e ancora la Reisinger nel 2019.
Nel 2018 ha vinto il Trofeo FMB, il Campionato Italiane a Squadre Open ed è arrivato secondo nella Rosenblum, nel 2019 e 2021 ha vinto nuovamente il Campionato Italiano a Squadre Open e nel 2022 si è fregiato del Jacoby sul circuito nordamericano.
